Bartavelle

Lovely little flat, good equipment in the kitchen, reasonably priced so people shouldn’t expect luxurious amenities. The Positive: Good location, check in and check out service were efficient Negative: Slightly further from the pistes that we would prefer. Could be cleaner.

Amazing views - Would personally NOT recommend Positive: The very good thing about La Bartavelle is the location. It's really close to the supermarket, stores, ski lifts, etc. The views from the balcony are breathtaking. Negative: I rarely dislike a stay as I try to see the bright side of things. La Bartavelle was a hard place to see such good things. The balcony (with amazing views) was beyond dirty. It was impossible to step out as it had not been cleaned (the floor was full of ice and cigarrettes). Had it been snow, it would be logical, but it was just a very slippery plaque of ice with a whole bunch of snow full of the above mentioned cigarretes which could only have meant no cleaning service had been made in days (and yet we had to pay an early check-in as, supposedly, it would interfere with the cleaning time). The stairs are as small as in the picture. We were unable to get out luggage downstairs (where the rooms are) and had to keep them in the kitchen the whole stay. My dad even had to stay on the sofa upstairs as it was really hard for him to go downstairs. Once down, the upper part of the bunk bed is almost impossible to use, since to get above you only have three very thin wooden steps, hence either you need to weight 50 kg, or risk ending up paying for a broken piece of wood. Wifi was not working, although after talking with a very polite man, it got fixed. The laundry machine was not working, as there was no place to plug it in. After complaining, we were given an extention for us to connect the machine wherever possible. If it was not an expensive stay, I guess I would be OK with all these things (and not even but ok!), yet, it isn't.

Very good, small but perfect for a brief stay in the mountains Positive: Very close to the slopes and the center, the flat was very cute. A bit small but if you don’t plan on spending too much time there it’s great. Negative: Not extremely accessible (the stairs are tiny). We didn’t have wifi.
